Biochanin A, also known as 4-methylGenistein, is a potential PPARα and PPARγ agonist found in Fabaceae plants such as clover, soy and alfalfa. It prevents replication of influenza virus, improves cognitive deficits, induces osteoblast differentiation, inhibits migration, invasion and proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells, and suppresses production of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
