How to use

In Vitro:

MDL28170 significantly enhances Schwann cells (SCs) survival in vitro in response to oxidative stress induced by application of H2O2, without reducing LDH release.

In Vivo:

MDL 28170 is a calpain inhibitor that protects against cortical neuronal damage even if the treatment is delayed until 3 h after reperfusion. However, the neuroprotective effect of this agent is less pronounced in the hippocampal CA1 sector.
